Software development and technology consulting

Technology that makes your business easier to run.

MVC Technologies helps businesses with websites, APIs, integrations, automation, AI solutions and custom software, from the first conversation to a stable solution in production.

  • Work directly with the developer
  • Six years as a software developer
A typical setup: the customer meets the website, the website talks to an API, and the API connects automation, internal systems and data, so information flows without manual hand-offs.

What we can achieve

From technical challenge to concrete improvement

Software is rarely the goal in itself. The goal is a working day that runs more smoothly, a customer experience that is easier to understand, information that gets where it needs to go, or a new service your business can offer. So we start with what should get better, and let the technology follow from that.

Free up time

Manual routines that repeat every week, like copying between systems, filling in the same forms and following up by email, can often be automated or brought together in an internal tool. The aim is for people to spend their time on the work, not on moving information between windows.

Connect your systems

When accounting, business systems, the online store and customer follow-up don't talk to each other, the same details get typed in several times. An API or an integration lets the systems exchange data directly, so the information lives in one place and is updated there.

Give customers a better experience

A website that loads fast, says clearly what you offer and works just as well on mobile makes it easier for customers to understand, choose and complete. The same goes for digital services: the fewer steps and the clearer the language, the more people get to the finish line.

Build a better technical foundation

Code that is easy to read, test and change makes the next improvement cheaper than the last. Sensible architecture, documented decisions and deliberate handling of technical debt reduce the risk that a small change has unexpected consequences.

Services

Technical help tailored to what you actually need

Most projects start with one concrete problem and grow from there. Below are the areas we work in. How much of each is relevant is something we agree on together before anything starts.

Websites and landing pages

Fast, accessible and professional websites that make it easy to understand what your business offers and to take the next step. We build for readability, performance and search visibility, not for effects that delay the first impression.

  • Company websites
  • Campaign pages
  • Landing pages
  • Responsive design
  • Accessibility
  • Technical SEO
  • Contact and lead forms

Web applications and customer portals

Custom workspaces, portals and web-based services built around your users' tasks and your business processes. We start with what people actually do during a day, and design the interface around that.

  • Customer portals
  • Dashboards
  • Self-service
  • Admin interfaces
  • Business-specific workflows

APIs and integrations

Integrations that let systems exchange data securely and predictably, so information doesn't have to be moved by hand. We plan for the failures that will happen: when a system is down, when data is missing, or when something has to be run again.

  • REST APIs
  • Third-party services
  • Payment services
  • Data sources
  • Existing business systems
  • Authentication and access control

Automation and AI solutions

Practical use of automation and AI where the technology solves a clear need, not AI just to be able to say the solution uses AI. We decide which data is used, how quality is checked, who has access, and where a person should look over the result before it takes effect.

  • Document processing
  • Classification
  • Internal search
  • Summarization
  • Assisted workflows
  • Repetitive admin work
  • AI connected to your own systems

Custom software and MVPs

From an early idea and a scoped prototype to a solution that can be tested, used and developed further. An MVP isn't a half-finished version of everything, but a finished version of what matters most. How long it takes depends on what “what matters most” actually is.

  • Product discovery
  • Prototypes
  • MVPs
  • Custom business systems
  • Technical foundations for new services

Technical advisory and further development

Help assessing technical choices, improving existing solutions and finding a realistic way forward. Sometimes the right advice is to build less than planned, and if so, we'll say so before you spend money on it.

  • Technical assessments
  • Architecture
  • Fintech-related advisory
  • Taking over existing codebases
  • Maintenance
  • Performance improvements
  • Security-minded improvements
  • Technical debt
  • Prioritization and roadmaps

When we're a good fit

A good choice when you need progress without a large consultancy

We're a small, specialized supplier. That makes us quick to get started with and easy to work with. It also means we take on a limited number of projects at a time. If capacity is full, we'll tell you straight away rather than promise a date we can't keep.

If you need to staff a larger program with several teams in parallel, a consultancy is the better choice. If you need one concrete thing built well, this format is made for that.

  • You have an idea, but need help scoping it.
  • A manual process takes too much time.
  • Two or more systems should exchange data.
  • An existing solution needs to be improved or modernized.
  • You want to test an AI opportunity in a controlled way.
  • You need a technical partner who can explain the choices along the way.
  • You need a scoped development project with one clear point of contact.

How we work

A clear path from need to solution

Four steps, with a check-in between each. You should never be in doubt about what is happening now, what happens next, and what it involves.

  1. STEP 01

    Discovery

We start with the need, the users, the current situation and what the solution should improve.

  2. STEP 02

    Proposal and prioritization

You get a clear recommendation on scope, technical direction, risk, assumptions and next steps.

  3. STEP 03

    Development and testing

The solution is built in manageable parts, tested along the way and reviewed together with you.

  4. STEP 04

    Launch and follow-up

We prepare the production release, document what matters and agree on how the solution will be followed up.

Scope, delivery plan, responsibilities and commercial terms are confirmed in a written proposal before work starts. If the assumptions change along the way, we raise it straight away, not in the final invoice.

About MVC Technologies

Work directly with the person building the solution

MVC Technologies is run by Matias Vedeler Cerda. Matias has six years of professional experience as a software developer, with expertise from fintech, a field where the demands on quality, security and reliability are especially high.

That experience shapes how we work: structured delivery, code that holds up when others read it, integrations that handle failure instead of assuming everything goes well, and a deliberate approach to what data a solution actually needs.

As a client you get one point of contact throughout the whole engagement, from the first conversation to development, testing and follow-up.

  • Short lines of communication: you talk to the person who writes the code.
  • Direct technical dialogue, with no translation layer between need and solution.
  • Fewer hand-offs, so fewer things fall through the cracks.
  • Clear responsibility for what has been agreed.
  • Practical decisions made quickly, with the reasoning visible.

Questions and answers

What people usually ask first

Do we need a finished requirements specification?

No. The first phase can be used for exactly that: clarifying the need, prioritizing what matters most, and finding a realistic scope. Many enquiries start with “we know something takes too much time, but not quite what the solution should be”. That is a perfectly valid starting point.

Can you develop an existing solution further?

Yes. An existing codebase is assessed first, so we both know what it consists of, what state it is in and what is realistic to change. Scope and responsibilities are agreed after that assessment, not before.

Do you only work with fintech?

No. Fintech is an important foundation of experience, because it is where the demands on quality, security and reliability have been strictest. But we work with businesses across many industries. The experience is the background, not the boundary.

How do you use AI in client projects?

AI is used where it solves a defined problem, not as an element in itself. Before anything goes into production, we decide what data the model gets to see, how the quality of the output is checked, who has access, what privacy requires, and where a person must approve before anything takes effect.

If the answer is that AI isn't the right tool for the job, we'll say so. A simpler automation is often both cheaper and more predictable.

How is the price set?

Pricing is based on scope, complexity, risk, timeline and the delivery model you want. We don't publish fixed packages, because two projects with the same heading are rarely the same amount of work.

You get a written proposal before work begins, so it is clear what is included and what may come in addition.

How long does a project take?

It depends on the scope. A focused landing page or a single integration is something different from a complete custom application. After the first conversation you get a realistic plan with milestones, rather than an estimate given before anyone knows what is being built.

Can you help with maintenance after launch?

Yes. Ongoing maintenance, monitoring, improvements and agreed support can be included where it makes sense, and are defined in the proposal.

Fixed response times for technical incidents require a separate support agreement. Without one, we follow up as quickly as we can, but we don't promise a guaranteed deadline.
